Anything that interferes with the flow of fluid or energy in your body blocks your ability to carry oxygen and nutrients to and remove toxins and waste from the cells.
This, in turn, significantly interferes with your ability to heal.
These “interference fields” can include anything that creates an energetic or physical obstruction that compromises or prevents oxygen, nutrients, blood flow, and waste removal from allowing the cells in your body to regenerate and heal. Over time, these obstructions may contribute to symptoms of chronic illness.
Essential oils can help open and enhance fluid flow (including the circulation of blood and lymph) and nerve signaling which supports tissue regeneration.
What is an Interference Field?
An Interference Field (IF) is anything that disrupts or blocks the healthy flow of energy in the body.
More specifically, Interference Fields “interfere” with or obstruct your body’s ability to deliver oxygen, nutrients, and the healthy flow of blood, lymph, nerve signals, and/or energy through the body.
The term “interference field” was coined by Dr. Ferdinand Hueneke and Dr. Walter Hueneke to describe tissue weakened or damaged due to stress or trauma. The damaged tissue then becomes electro-chemically abnormal or depolarized and therefore more susceptible to accumulating both environmental and metabolic toxins which further block the normal energy flow of the nerve and meridian network throughout your body.
Every injury or trauma, whether it’s chemical, mechanical, electrical, or otherwise, leaves behind an energetic scar that remains once the tissue heals. These scars allow environmental and metabolic toxins to bioaccumulate and mechanically interfere with and eventually block the normal energy flow of meridians, organs, glands, and/or tissues.
An IF is an area that has become “depolarized” (or weakened), often from a previous trauma, such as a fall, accident, surgery, injection, or scar. The weakened IF area is more susceptible to toxin accumulation and further injury. An IF acts like a “short circuit” in the body’s normal energy flow. This “blown fuse” may reflex to distant body areas to create symptoms, degeneration, and impaired function.
In addition to the stagnation and resulting build-up of waste products and blocked energy flow, interference fields also block the flow of oxygen, and nutrients and the drainage of toxins and waste – preventing healing and short-circuiting the body’s energy flow.
You may think of interference fields as circuit disruptions that create constant background ‘noise’ which confuses nearby cells and keeps the autonomic nervous system in a dysregulated state.
What Causes Interference Fields?
Interference Fields can be located anywhere in the body and may be caused by common stressors including:
- Trauma (physical, mental, emotional)
- Scars (including C-Section scars)
- Ear or Body Piercings (especially along the midline of the body)
- Tattoos
- Dental issues (like focal infections, root canals, cavitations or metal amalgams)
- Lymph congestion (including Tonsils, Cervical Ganglia, Inguinal)
- Puncture sites from injections (including vaccinations and IVs)
- Sinus infections
- Traumatized areas (from whiplash, sprains/strains, concussions, burns or bruises)
- Fascial tissue blockages
- Metal inside the body (pins, plates, staples, mesh, dental restorations, or fillings)
- Electro-Magnetic Fields (EMF)
Symptoms of Interference Fields
Interference fields can “short” circuit the body’s wiring system, blocking energy flow which may silently and chronically disturb distant areas of the body that “seem” unrelated to the Interference field site, including:
Nervous System Dysregulation: Interference fields can disrupt messages from the autonomic nervous system to your body and chronically activate the sympathetic nervous system, contributing to a chronic stress response.
Diminished Energy: Interference fields can impede or block energy flow in the body, particularly when it affects meridians (energy pathways that crisscross the body) resulting in energy or circulation stagnations that you may experience as fatigue. Scar tissue in particular is rich in connective tissue, which exhibits different electromagnetic conduction properties than normal tissue, leading to disruptions in the energy flow that can trigger functional disorders in organ systems connected via the meridians.
Impact on Movement: Interference fields can significantly disrupt the surrounding area, causing “kinks” in structural tissues that distort the alignment of the body. This causes body-wide structural imbalances, movement restrictions, and fascial adhesions and imbalances that act as internal “strait jackets”, reducing the range of motion of muscles, joints, and the motility of organs. This diminishes their performance and potentially produces pain.
Pain (including migraines, neuralgia, joint and muscle pain): Interference fields can trigger overactivity in your nerve impulses. Interference fields, like scar tissue in damaged nerve cells, can cause the resting membrane potential to be chronically low, meaning the nerve will fire off a nerve impulse with much less of a stimulus. The tissue becomes excitable, and it has a chaotic effect on the nervous system, creating a disconnect between the brain and the tissues, resulting in the experience of pain. For example, when a c-section scar blocks a nerve, blood, and lymph flow to the upper Gastrointestinal system are impacted which can contribute to painful symptoms including heartburn, indigestion, stomach pain, nausea, or shoulder pain.
Hormonal Effects: Inference fields can impact your hormonal system by triggering the adrenal output of cortisol which can suppress the production of sex hormones.
Chronic Illness: Interference fields not only block energy and nutrient flow directly at the site of trauma but, over time, may also reflex to distant body sites to create unintended sedation of energy flow to key organs and glands, known as the “Splatter effect”.
Clearing Interference Fields with Essential Oils
Interference fields short-circuit the body’s energy flow. Interference fields and these circuit shorts can be cleared to re-establish energy flow to the body and allow for proper fluid and nutrient flow, and removal of waste products.
Essential oils or other non-invasive therapies like light (laser), and sound (tuning forks) can help reset disrupted tissues energetically and return them to their original state. Essential oils contain medicinal properties known to unblock, reconnect, restore and regenerate affected cells, organs, and tissues. They contain powerful chemical constituents that may help restore mobility, improve fluid flow, increase microcirculation, and stimulate energy flow.
One of the key reasons that essential oils work so well for clearing the interference field is that they can, in essence, help to erase and rewrite emotional memories and the associated thought patterns.
When we inhale essential oils, the odor molecules travel through the nasal cavity and trigger electrical impulses to the olfactory which then transmits the impulses to the amygdala, the part of the brain where emotional memories are stored.
Our sense of smell links directly to the emotional center of the brain allowing you to interfere with fields caused by emotional trauma so that you can acknowledge and integrate or release them.

Fascia Release for Interference Fields
Your fascial system is deeply impacted by interference fields as they can create physical and energetic adhesions in the fascia membrane that block or compromise electrical messages from your nervous system and downstream signaling to the body.
As you may know, your fascia is permeated with an estimated 250 million nerve endings belonging to the sympathetic nervous system, which carries messages between your brain and spinal cord and the rest of your body.
You also have pain receptors that live within your fascia which means that when you experience pain, it is the nerve endings within the fascia that communicate with the nervous system to tell your brain there is a problem.
The Fascia Release™ blend helps unravel interference fields and fascial restrictions that impede movement and energetic blockages in your tissues. Fascia Release™ also helps to increase circulation and lymph flow which helps to move fluid out of the tissues.
As you know, fascia lies just below the skin so topically applying essential oils onto the skin allows for easy and immediate access to the fascia and the interference fields that lie within the fascia network. The skin is your largest organ and is relatively permeable to fat-soluble substances like essential oils.
Topical supplements play an important role in supporting fascia health and recovery from inflammation. For example, essential oils easily penetrate layers of restricted fascia, creating warmth to break up congestion, increasing circulation, lymphatic drainage, and mobilizing adhered tissue.
Essential oils soften the myofascial tissue, allowing the deep and constrained tissue to stretch and move as it is designed to function. They also have an analgesic effect, relaxing the muscles and reducing pain.
The essential oils in the Fascia Release™ blend is uniquely formulated with organic essential oils known to release interference fields and energetic blockages, including Frankincense, Lavender, and Geranium.
Frankincense essential oil has properties that soothe skin and calm inflammation. Similarly, Lavender oil helps promote the regeneration of new tissue cells, especially in repairing damaged skin and tissues and healing interference fields.
Geranium oil possesses powerful anti-inflammatory properties which may help calm inflammation and support tissue regeneration and new cell growth.
How to apply: Interference fields and scars can make the tissue in the skin feel inelastic and harder than the surrounding tissue. This can restrict movement in one direction. If you gently caress the scar on the skin, it might move more easily and with more mobility in one direction with more restriction in the other direction. To help release and clear interference fields, topically apply Fascia Release™ in the direction area where it has more movement and moves more easily.
To improve fluid flow and circulation, you can also use Lymph and Circulation in combination with Fascia Release™.

As interference fields are released, there can be a variety of emotions that are also released. When the interference field and the corresponding trauma are unblocked or removed, it is not unusual to feel intense emotion or need to discharge emotions either through tears or movement. Changing the electrical flow of the tissue and releasing the toxins built up in your system allows you to release emotions.
Essential oils can be helpful tools to release emotions.
