Parasympathetic Blend for Mind, Body and Spirit

By Jodi Cohen

A person practicing yoga on a serene beach at sunset, embodying tranquility and balance.

I am the ultimate multi-tasker.

You will often find me doing 3 – 4 things at the same time (like now – trying to start this post while quizzing my daughter for her math test and making breakfast and lunch)

I love when I find products or services that support this multi-tasking efficiency, like the handyman that can also paint or fix my plumbing or the shopping center that contains every store I like + a supermarket so I can crank through my errands in an efficient manner. Here is my list of my favorite Essential Oils for mind, body and spirit.

Essential Oils for Mind, Body and Spirit

parasympathetic pinMy favorite multi-tasking oils are Lavender™, which can be used in almost every situation and provide some benefit, and our Vibrant Blue Parasympathetic® blend.

Vibrant Blue Parasympathetic®, when applied to the vagal nerve (on the mastoid bone behind the ear), triggers the optimal “rest and digest” digestive cascade where the mouth produces saliva, the stomach releases HCL, the pancreas releases digestive enzymes, the gall bladder releases bile.  In addition, the parasympathetic state allows increased blood flood to the GI tract, ensuring optimal motility and transit time through the digestive tract, which can be a key to preventing digestive dysfunction like SIBO and leaky gut.

In addition to its benefit as a vagal nerve stimulant, the Parasympathetic® blend can be smelled or rubbed on the bottom of the feet to assist in staying awake and easing headaches.  It can increase energy, mental alertness and circulation in a natural way without over stimulating.  It is also useful digestive ailments ranging from liver pains, stomach cramps, gas to intestinal spasms.  Finally, it can be used as a mood enhancer for those suffering from depression and anxiety.

Talk about a multi-tasking blend!

Many experts from Mark Hyman and Christiane Northrup to Datis Kharrazian suggest manual techniques such as deep breathing, singing and gargling to stimulate the vagal nerve to trigger the parasympathetic nervous system. Stimulatory essential oils can elicit the same response.

But not all stimulatory oils are created equal.  Our Parasympathetic® blend, originally formulated for use in Native American ceremonies, was selected as our optimal parasympathetic stimulator for its numerous multi-tasking benefits.  And don’t worry, the blend has been heavily tested and diluted to avoid potential skin irritation.

If you are a major multi-tasker, you might consider the Parasympathetic® blend.  Feel free to share this post with anyone in your life who might benefit from a little Parasympathetic® oil.

As always, feel free to respond to this mail or leave a comment on our Facebook Discussion Group.
