Essential Oils for Anxiety

I don’t know about you, but I sometimes suffer from anxiety. Essential Oils for anxiety can help you clear your mind and slow down.

It can hit at bizarre times, like in the checkout line at the Supermarket or during the morning chaos when I am trying to make breakfast and lunch at the same time while quizzing the kids on math facts or helping them type up their homework.  It can feel completely paralyzing, like I can’t breathe or slow down my thoughts or heart rate.

 

Essential Oils for Anxiety

Instead of being stuck in the paralysis, I’ve been reaching for my oils to help me move through the moment and back to calm.  Some of my favorites include:

Adrenal Balance™ – My personal favorite!  Simply smelled or applied to the adrenals on the back, this brings me back to calm within a matter of minutes.  I’ve actually sold a bottle or 2 to people behind me in the supermarket line who must have noticed my visible shift in demeanor.

 

Parasympathetic® – Another favorite standby.  A dab of this oil placed on the vagal nerve (behind the earlobe on the mastoid bone) can really shift energy and help me drop into a more grounded place.  A friend and fellow practitioner told me that Parasympathetic® oil helped her ground before some recent television press.

 

Calm™ – This amazing oil helps reduce anxiety, especially with kids.  One practitioner shared that this is her go-to blend for kids that experience anxiety at school or with sporting events.  Two of my daughter’s close friends carry it in their pockets on a daily basis.  This is also a terrific blend for overcoming the anxiety component of constipation in kids.

 

Rose™ – The best recipe for instant joy when rubbed over the heart.  For me, it feels like seeing the sun come through on a cloudy day.

 

Lavender™ – This is a great oil for general overall calm.  It can be especially nice at night when added to an Epsom salt bath before bed for general relaxation.
