Essential Oil Alchemy involves the use of specific essential oils or essential oil blends to alter, transform or shift our physical, mental or emotional health.
Alchemy is commonly associated with chemical transformation of matter, like changing water into wine or converting base metals, like lead, into gold.

Essential Oil Alchemy

The word alchemy has deep, ancient roots, tracing back to the early Greek name for Egypt, Chēmia, as the ancient city of Alexandria was a center of alchemical knowledge, and retained its pre-eminence through most of the Greek and Roman periods. These ancient scholars and healers were well-versed in the principals of alchemy and often used essential oils as their alchemical tools of choice. I believe this is why Essential Oils were found buried in the pyramids and are so frequently mentioned in the bible – because they were an active part of the alchemical practices of the time.

These early alchemists played a very significant role in establishing the early roots of modern science particularly in the areas of chemistry and medicine. For example, alchemists first thought to arrange information on substances to clarify and anticipate the products of their chemical reactions. This classification of chemical elements lead to the first rudimentary periodic table. The study of alchemy also influenced Isaac Newton’s theory of gravity.

Alchemy has also been associated with magic and mythology, bringing to mind ancient quests for a universal elixir of immortality, such as the fountain of youth or the Holy Grail. Others associate alchemy with the creation of a panaceas able to cure any disease.

To me, alchemy is really about any kind of transformation – including physical, mental and emotional shifts. Ancient alchemists drew from and combined elements in nature to create their magic formulations. It is through a similar lens that I have created the proprietary essential oils that we sell at Vibrant Blue Oils, drawing on the alchemy of self-transformation.

My intention with Vibrant Blue Oils and Essential Oil Alchemy is to assist with this conscious process of transformation, through sharing not only essential oils, but other alchemical techniques that can be used in combination with essential oils to purify and heal the body. You might consider it internal alchemy.
