Essential Oils to Pair with a Healing Diet

Diet and healing – How do they relate?

I receive numerous emails each week asking for help with children’s behavioral issues, including anxiety, depression, aggression, impulse control and focus. While we have many oils that can assist with these challenges, they work infinitely better in tandem with nutritional modifications.

 

Diet and Healing

I speak directly from the heart in understanding how challenging these changes can be. I have been so busy trying to start my company and deal with other external stresses that I neglected to realize how inflamed my own 8 year old son’s small intestine had become. When my nautropath informed me that he had developed bio films, along with dysbiosis and severe food intolerances and recommended an elimination diet consisting of only meat, eggs, vegetables and limited fruit, my head started spinning. I was utterly overwhelmed about what to feed my child, how to navigate playdates, school (where the librarian and PE teacher regularly reward with candy) and sports snacks.

I decided to just go one day at a time, drawing on several recipes from NTP Mickey Trescott’s Auto Immune Paleo Cookbook and Diane Sanfilippo’s Balanced Bites, while incorporating the oils that I knew would support small intestine healing:

Essential Oils to Pair with a Healing Diet

Parasympathetic® applied to the vagal nerve before every meal and added to baths in the evening (Clove helps to pull toxins from the skin and can alleviate itching during yeast die off).

Intestinal Mucosa™ rubbed clockwise around the belly button twice daily

Gall Bladder™ applied to the gall bladder before meals to open the elimination pathway for yeast die off.

Liver™ applied to the liver two times daily (especially before bedtime) to support yeast die off.

Circadian Rhythm® applied to the top of the head and above the ears immediately before bed.  The body needs to rest and repair during intense healing periods. The Circadian Rhythm® helps support optimal circadian rhythms which in turn supports optimal digestive and healing rhythms.

 

Within four short days of beginning these nutritional changes, I have noticed a significant improvement in my son’s inflammation. His small intestine (area around the belly button) was previously so inflamed that it felt like a trampoline when I gently palpated it – very tight with no give. When I touched his stomach this morning, it felt very supple and significantly less inflamed.
