Module 1 – Introduction to Stress

This course will arm you with the tools and knowledge you need to BALANCE STRESS so you can heal. It will help you regain your energy, increase your joy and improve your mental focus with easy to use ESSENTIAL OILS.

Module 2 – Stress and the Nervous System – Sympathetic/Parasympathetic State

Your nervous system is an early responder to stress.  It throws the body into the survival “fight or flight” state knows as the sympathetic response.  While the sympathetic state is ideal for fleeing emergencies, it is less than ideal to optimal health.  Stimulatory essential oils can be used to help trigger the healing parasympathetic state of the nervous system where your body can rest, digest, regenerate and heal.  This module does a deep dive on the nervous system, sharing the latest research on the brain and essential oils and how to use them in an optimal combination.

Module 3 – Stress and the Brain – HPA Axis

The body releases stress hormones in response to stress.  This hormonal cascade is known as the Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Adrenal Axis (or HPA Axis) to really unravel and heal from stress related issues such as Adrenal Fatigue and Hormonal Imbalances, you need to rebalance this hormonal cascade and the organs involved, including the hypothalamus, adrenals and pineal gland which helps regulate your circadian rhythms.  This module does a deep and thorough dive on the HPA Axis and how essential oils can be use to return it to balance.

Module 4 – Emotions and Stress

The body cannot differentiate between anticipatory stress and actually physical stress.  So powerful emotions like fear, anger, grief or worry can trigger as powerful of a stress response as a physical threat.  Fortunately, essential oils are ideal suited to travel through the olfactory system to the part of the brain that controls the emotional response, known as the amygdala.  In this module, you will learn about how stress is triggered in the limbic system, how negative and positive emotions effect the stress response of the body and how essential oils can be used to rebalance the root of the emotional response in the limbic system.

Module 5 – Circadian Rhythm and Stres

Our Circadian Rhythms are the natural sleep/wake cycle of the body.  Stress and the stress hormone cortisol can throw these rhythms out of balance, triggering a vicious cycle of increased stress and declining health  Essential oils with their unique ability to access the brain through transdermal application, can help reset and resolve this cycle, naturally triggering the pineal gland to release the sleep hormone melatonin which drives down cortisol level.  This module focuses on the circadian rhythm, the pineal gland and how resetting this mechanism can serve as an optimal backdoor to unraveling the stress cycle.

A little about Jodi…
